Baths are the ultimate slow down, relax, "zen" out YOU time. What is better than soaking all your worries away in a warm, soothing, aromatherapy filled bath? Not much in my humble opinion. It is important to be aware of the ingredients you use in your bath, like bubbles, bath bomb, and bath soaps.
Conventional bubble baths, and bath bombs are filled with chemicals that disrupt your bodily functions without you even knowing it.
Our skin is the body's largest organ, and it absorbs most of what comes in contact with it. By upgrading the ingredients in your bath, you can make bath time a time to nourish your skin and body from the outside in.
By combining natural, non-toxic ingredients to create a tranquil bath soak, you allow your body to detoxify irritants in the skin, as well as absorb the nutrients in these luxurious ingredients. That is the perfect bath!
I wanted to share my favorite bath soak recipe with you!
Tranquil Detoxifying Bath Soak
Ingredients - makes 1 relaxing bath
1 cup Epsom Salts
1 cup Baking Soda
2 tablespoons coconut oil
12 drops of your favorite essential oils ( I use lavender)
1. Draw a warm bath and add epsom salt and baking soda. Mix it well to combine.
2. Add in your essentials oils, mix.
3. Sit back, take a deep inhale, and let this soak do all the work.
4. Soak for at least 20 minutes.
How it Works:
The combination of epsom salt and baking soda draws out toxins from your body, balances your pH, and lowers stress related hormones. This combo is loaded with vitamins and minerals that aid in cleansing the body from the outside in, including potassium, magnesium, calcium, zinc, sodium, iodine, bromide and sulfur. The essential oils offer an aromatic experience that enhances physical and psychological wellbeing.
Tips to Enhance Your Bath:
* Light some non-toxic candles.
* Sip your favorite hot tea while bathing.
* Dry brush your body before you step into soak.
* Listen to your favorite relax tunes.
* Read a few chapters of your latest book .
* Follow up your bath with a luxurious natural body lotion.
